Honoring a Fallen Hero
Recently, a local family found their loved one and fallen hero, Army Staff Sgt LeRoy E. Alexander was being honored by the Freedom Museum after seeing a story on News4. Watch Full Story.
Celebrating 77 Years of Love
The Freedom Museum threw Pete and Betty Anastasi a 77th Anniversary Party on June 9th! The couple met at a USO dance during WWII when Pete was serving stateside. They were married on June 9th, 1945 and to celebrate this amazing milestone the museum hosted a party for them - complete with love poems, red roses and the service outfit Pete was married in! During this event, the Freedom Museum had their wartime wedding collection on full display in honor of this momentous occasion.
