The Freedom Museum opened on July 4th, 1999.
The primary goal is to teach young Americans that freedom isn't free and to appreciate the legacy of liberty, peace and prosperity they are inheriting.
Manassas Regional Airport Terminal is the current home for The Freedom
Museum.

The 20th Century Museum is operated by a coalition of Veteran organizations including numerous posts from the American Legion, the Veteran of Foreign Wars, The Fleet Reserve Association, Vietnam Veterans of America, and others.
Elements
of The Confederate Air Force, Gary Powers Jr.'s
Cold War Museum and the Manassas Museum will coordinate a joint effort
with The Freedom Museum to commemorate the end of the 20th Century in what
they plan as a tribute to those who served our country with honor and distinction.
It will be a celebration of the freedom that has made America the greatest
country the world has ever known and time to thank America's veterans for
their sacrifice.
The veterans will soon launch a nation-wide fundraising campaign to build a permanent facility and are asking public officials, the business community, civic organizations and their fellow citizens to join with them to make the last summer of the 20th Century one for the history books.
In Virginia the flag flies high America stands
tall and veterans are always welcome.
